Who Needs Spice Board Registration
Certification Benefits

Why Spice Board Registration

  • Mandatory for exporting spices and spice-based products from India and profit margins
  • Issued by the Spices Board of India, under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry
  • Recognizes your business as a certified Indian spice exporter

Spice Board Registration is a legal requirement under the Spice Board Act, 1986 for any business or individual involved in the export of spices — whether in whole, powdered, oil, or value-added form. It provides your business with a CRES (Certificate of Registration as Exporter of Spices), which is essential for customs clearance, availing export incentives, and establishing credibility in the global spice trade.

This registration also opens the door to quality certification labs, promotional schemes, international trade fair participation, and packaging support offered by the Spices Board. Without it, you may face delays, rejections, or penalties during customs processing.

At Startup Bharat, we simplify the process and ensure your spice export business is fully compliant, recognized, and ready to scale internationally.
